Graduated with 850 hours of training (11/05-05/06). 10 hours of Sports Massage Training (11/2007)
Personal Background:
I am originally from Ohio and had lived there all my life before I moved to Colorado. I was attending college in 2005 and decided that it wasn’t for me. I decided to move out West and discovery new territory.
I moved to Crested Butte in October of 2005, a month before massage school started. Now that I look back on it, I am so happy I picked this area to study massage.
While in college I was majoring in a helping profession. It is in my natural state that I like to help people, and because of that I am so happy I chose this profession. I am learning more everyday and enjoying it so much.
Treatment Philosophy:
I enjoy working with so many body types and look at it as a challenge to cater to each person’s needs. It is also interesting meeting so many different people and hearing all their stories. What my main goal for each client is to create an ambiance of relaxation and comfort. When someone leaves my table I want them to feel refreshed and rejuvenated. I like to end my massage in a blessing for the person to take with them.

Honors Graduate of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2005. 100+ Hours of specific instruction in Sports and Orthopedic Massage.
Personal Background:
I moved to Crested Butte in 1999 following graduation from the University of Vermont. Born and raised in upstate NY, I was drawn to the beautiful mountains of Colorado, and in particular the small community of Crested Butte. It was here I met my husband, and we decided to settle here for the long-term. I love my profession, and I wake up every day grateful to be living in such an amazing place!
Treatment Philosophy:
I approach massage therapy with an understanding that each individual comes to a session with unique needs and desires. It is my goal to create a session that is specifically catered toward your specific needs, whether it be recovery from a day on the mountain, management of stress, or relief from chronic pain. I also appreciate the simple desire to be pampered, and look forward to making your treatment as relaxing and comforting as possible!

I am also a certified yoga instructor.
I believe in the power of touch therapy to heal body, mind and spirit. Through individually tailored treatments, each of my clients will have their specific needs met and each session will be unique. Personal History:
Born in Upstate, NY I came home to Colorado in 2003. Finding my heart and spirit’s place here in the Gunnison Valley Basin, where there is plenty of space to roam free, I decide to attend the Mountain Heart School of Bodywork after hearing of its’ existence. Always, having loved receiving massage, I felt being able to give back such a gift would be a great carrier path for me. I have always loved working with my hands having been born with an affinity towards art and being able to stay in motion keeps my body and spirit happy.
Therapeutic and Session Philosophy:
Great for circulation, muscle and mental relaxation, and general improvement of health, I believe massage is a great tool for preserving and enhancing the health of every-body. Having an understanding of and incorporating a broad variety of massage modalities, including: acupressure, reflexology, energy work, neuromuscular massage, assisted stretch therapy, trigger point therapy and others, a client can expect to have their muscles treated in response to their needs. Coming into a session every client can expect a treatment directed towards their specific treatment wishes. My goal as a therapist is to be compassionate and effective, while helping clients treat their bodies well. Come enjoy a renaissance rejuvenation.
